While it is abhorrent that once again we find ourselves in a story that starts with a road known for the dumping of unwanted dogs, we dog have to take a moment to appreciate the silver lining here. Which is that there happened to be a possum ready and waiting to be eaten. A phenomenon that is far rarer than one might think considering that most dumped road dogs are found so hungry they could eat a horse. So at the very least our soon to be rescued doggo was not left hungry, nor was she left without company. It is the little wins that make the most difference in life.

Goodness this is so wholesome that we have a tear coming to our eye. It is not often that a doggo who has just been scooped up off the street while eating a possum will adapt so quickly to a new environment. Especially one where it has been left alone for a whole day, probably causing her to think she had been abandoned once more. But instead of giving in to these feelings, this brave pupper put her faith in her rescuer and awaited his return, and it is a good thing that she did. She would have found it hard to come by a cozy couch to curl up on for the night if she had left his garden.
